Business Travelers are the hardest-working visitors of them all, but with so little time, they may not be able to appreciate St.Thomas the way other vacationers can.
Since they may not have much time to see the island’s beauty, here are some top overlooks and observation decks where they can go between meetings to relax and take in panoramic views of St. Thomas’s magic.
You can see the dreamy allure of this Caribbean island in some amazing places.
Here are the top four overlooks and observation decks where business travelers can relax, take a deep breath, and enjoy St. Thomas’s dazzling surroundings.
- Charlotte Amalie Overlook. This stunning view is one you won’t soon forget. On clear days, you can see down into Charlotte Amalie and the harbor. You can also see gorgeous views of Frenchtown, Hassle Island, and Water Island, with occasional views of St. Croix. Take a scenic overlook tour to visit several of these lookout points and enjoy the dazzling beauty of St. Thomas. Seas the Day has some highly rated tours you won’t want to miss.
- Drake’s Seat. Enjoy the view of the ages, as local history says that Sir Francis Drake used the overlook to watch over his ships and monitor for enemy ships. This breathtaking overlook features panoramic views of parts of the British Virgin Islands, Hans Lollik Island, and the spectacular Magens Bay. Avoid cruise ship crowds by visiting early in the morning or at sunset for phenomenal vistas.
- Mountain Top. This overlook has the most amenities of any overlook. It is the highest accessible peak, 1200 feat above Magens Bay, on St. Thomas, according to Mountain Top’s website. The large outdoor observation deck offers scenic views of St. John, Hans Lollik Island, and parts of the British Virgin Islands, including Tortola and Jost Van Dyke. Additionally, it holds the Caribbean’s largest duty-free gift shop. This location is the “home of the banana daiquiri” and offers delicious rum drinks to help you relax and fall into island time.
- Paradise Point. It’s a skyride to the top of Paradise Point that will lead you to phenomenal scenery 700 feet above Charlotte Amalie harbor. Panoramic views include Water Island and sometimes even St. Croix and Puerto Rico. At the top, visit a skywalk, gift shops, and restaurants, and even enjoy the island’s own signature drink, the Bushwacker, made with Baileys Irish Cream, or a banana daiquiri.
